About us !

With its main office in Middletown, Delaware, the World Humanitarian Foundation (WHF) is a non-profit organisation that is officially recognised under U.S. tax code 501(c)(3). The World Humanitarian Foundation holds the view that we have a duty to “Love Mankind.” The team is made up of individuals with a variety of backgrounds, occupations, and life experiences; nevertheless, one thing that unites us is “an unyielding passion to help other humans in need.”

WHF is dedicated to putting an end to teenage homelessness and panhandling (street begging) in resource poor communities around the globe. This is accomplished by offering supported housing, education, employment-related training, mentorship, and counsel. WHF also focuses on creating centres where these underprivileged
youngsters can conveniently get necessities like food and clothing. In times of conflict or revolt as well as natural disasters, WHF is very active and
provides much-needed aid, mostly to children, teenagers, and young adults. This gives us the exceptional chance to positively influence these young people
throughout their formative years, with the goal of giving them access to a setting where their talents and abilities can be fully developed.

This is what we at WHF is committed to achieving, a” perfect world” for everyone. Not just a “one-time” experience of a “perfect world” but sustainable and continued
support for street children to make the world a better place for all mankind.

Guaranteed
sustainable support to street children made possible through your donations… LOVE

Outreach and Rescue

We actively engage with street children, reaching out to them in their environments and building trust. Our dedicated team of outreach workers and volunteers provide essential services such as food, clothing, and medical assistance to meet their immediate needs.

Outreach and rescue are critical components of our work at WHF. We have a dedicated team of outreach workers and volunteers who actively engage with street children, reaching out to them in their environments to provide essential support and establish trusting relationships. Here’s more information about our outreach and rescue efforts:

Our outreach team regularly visits areas where street children are known to congregate, such as busy streets, markets, and public spaces. They actively engage

with the children, offering food, clothing, and basic medical assistance. The primary goal of street outreach is to build rapport, gain their trust, and assess their immediate needs.

During outreach encounters, our team identifies and assesses the needs of street children. They conduct interviews and conversations to understand their background, circumstances, and reasons for living on the streets. This process helps us gain insight into each child’s unique situation and develop personalized plans for their support and rehabilitation.

In cases where immediate intervention is necessary, such as when a child is in a dangerous or abusive situation, our team takes appropriate action to ensure their

safety and well-being. This may involve rescuing the child from the streets and providing emergency shelter and care. We work closely with local authorities, child protection agencies, and law enforcement to ensure proper protocols are followed.

Street children often lack access to basic necessities. Our outreach team provides them with essential items such as food, clean clothing, shoes, and hygiene kits. We also offer medical assistance, including first aid and referrals to healthcare facilities for more comprehensive care.

Street children often face significant emotional and psychological challenges due to their life circumstances. Our outreach workers and trained volunteers provide psychosocial support through compassionate listening, counselling, and guidance. We aim to create a safe space for children to express their feelings, process their experiences, and develop coping mechanisms.

Our outreach efforts extend beyond direct support to street children. We actively

engage with the broader community, raising awareness about the issues faced by

street children and advocating for their rights. We conduct sensitization programs,

workshops, and community dialogues to promote understanding, empathy, and active

involvement in addressing the needs of street children.

As part of our outreach efforts, we work towards reintegrating street children back into their families whenever possible. We provide family counselling, mediation, and support to rebuild broken relationships and create a nurturing home environment. For children without immediate family options, we collaborate with child welfare agencies to explore alternative care options, such as foster care or residential care.

Our outreach and rescue efforts are ongoing, as we strive to reach as many street children as possible, offering them immediate support, assessing their needs, and

providing pathways for their long-term rehabilitation and reintegration. If you have more specific questions about our outreach and rescue programs or would

like to know more about our methods and success stories, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We provide a safe and nurturing shelter for street children, offering them a supportive environment where they can heal, recover, and rebuild their lives. Our shelters provide basic amenities, including nutritious meals, clean clothing, and access to education and healthcare.Rehabilitation and shelter are crucial aspects of our work at Empowering Lives.

We provide a safe and nurturing environment for street children, offering them the support and resources they need to heal, recover, and rebuild their lives. Here’s more information about our rehabilitation and shelter programs:

We operate shelters specifically designed to meet the unique needs of street children. These shelters provide a safe and secure environment where children can find respite from the dangers and uncertainties of street life. Our shelters are equipped with basic amenities such as clean sleeping quarters, sanitation facilities, and common areas for dining and recreation.

We ensure that the basic needs of children, such as nutritious food, clean clothing, and personal hygiene items, are met. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to create a warm and caring atmosphere within the shelter, providing a sense of stability and normalcy for the children.

We prioritize the health and well-being of the children in our care. We provide access to medical care, including regular check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for any illnesses or injuries. Our staff also educates the children about personal hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good health.

Education plays a vital role in the rehabilitation process. We ensure that all children in our shelters have access to quality education. We offer formal schooling or nonformal education programs, tailoring the approach to each child’s specific needs and circumstances. Additionally, we provide vocational training and skill development opportunities to equip older children with practical skills for their future.

Street children often face emotional trauma and psychological challenges due to their experiences on the streets. Our shelters have dedicated counselors and social workers who provide individual and group counseling sessions. These sessions help children process their emotions, heal from their past traumas, and develop coping mechanisms.

We also organize recreational activities, creative workshops, and therapy sessions to promote emotional wellbeing.

We believe in empowering street children with essential life skills that will enable them to navigate the challenges of adulthood successfully. We provide training in areas such as communication skills, problem-solving, financial literacy, and decision-making.

These life skills equip children with the tools they need to become self-reliant and lead independent lives.

We actively work towards reintegrating children back into their families whenever it is safe and possible. We provide family counselling, mediation, and support to rebuild broken relationships and create a nurturing home environment. In cases where family reunification is not an option, we collaborate with child welfare agencies to explore alternative care options, such as foster care or residential care.

Our support does not end when children leave our shelters. We provide aftercare services, including follow-up visits, to ensure that children continue to receive the

necessary support as they transition back into their communities. We also facilitate access to community resources, such as educational scholarships, vocational training programs, and employment opportunities. Our rehabilitation and shelter programs are designed to provide a comprehensive and

holistic approach to healing and empowering street children. It is our goal to support them in building a brighter future for themselves, free from the hardships of street life.
